Fiber Technician

Job Summary:

The Fiber Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems within their area of expertise, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain equipment/systems as per standard procedures.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with the team and supervisor on job priorities and spare parts.
• Test equipment after repair/installation to confirm proper functioning.

Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in relevant technical field preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of relevant tools, testing equipment, and safety standards.
• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
